region, highlight the health benefits of fishing and introduce the skills and
interest in fly fishing across the generations and globally. It is important to hear
from some hugely qualified speakers on a range of subjects which will positively
impact the way we look at our natural world through sport and conservation. ‘

About The Honourable The Irish Society
The Honourable The Irish Society owns extensive fishing rights in Northern Ireland and seeks to manage these in a sustainable way that allows for local and visiting anglers to enjoy reasonably priced fishing, in return for the income being reinvested in fishery protection and development as well as The Society’s charitable grant programme.

About the Rivers
The 38 mile long Lower Bann flows in a northerly direction from Lough Neagh (the largest freshwater lake in Europe) to the Atlantic Ocean

Fishing Locations
Explore the rivers, the tributatries and the private beats we have along our River Bann

Types of Fish
Besides salmon fishing, we have excellent sea trout, brown trout, coarse and pike fishing in our rivers
We employ staff to manage most of the Lower Bann fisheries directly, as well as delegating the management of some rivers and fisheries to local clubs and community organisations. But while still retaining daily visitor permits for tourists.
Salmon fishing has always been the mainstay of the fisheries, but we have excellent trout waters and coarse fishing of international standard too.
This website contains details of everything that anglers need to know before booking their fishing by contacting our Coleraine office.
